Sunny, HOT day - clean, strong race on The Glen's short course. Nimer lapped all but two cars on his way to a dominating win after Capizzi pulled in on the pace lap. Many individual battles across all classes.

Round 4 was run with the 2015 July Sprints regional races. Both the NYSRRC series and the NARRC series will visit the July Sprints this year. The weekend will also be Round 5 of the Northeast Division Championship Series.

As a result of the total track repaving this year, this event will be run on the WGI Short Course - Pro IT's first ever short course race. It will be the only SCCA regional race at Watkins Glen this year

2015 Round 3 - Lightning Challenge

Round 3 was run with the Eighth Annual Lightning Challenge regional races. Both the MARRS series and the NARRC series were visiting the Lightning Challenge. The weekend was also Round 3 of the Northeast Division Championship Series.

2015 Rounds 1 & 2 - NJMP with ARCA

The Fidelity Power Systems Pro IT Series will start its 2015 season with a two race weekend on 23-24 May on the NJMP Thunderbolt Course once again supporting the ARCA Racing Series. Registration is now open on DLB . This event is being conducted by Touring Race Promotions (the Pro IT Series) with help from the South Jersey Region. It is listed under Fidelity Power Systems in DLB.

The format of the weekend will be similar to previous ARCA support races - a full qualifying and race on Saturday and a second full qualifying and race on Sunday. There will be no promoter test day on Friday as another group is using the track.

2015 - Schedule & Management

Rounds 1 & 2 will once again be with the ARCA series at NJMP. The Fidelity Power Systems Pro IT Series has appeared with ARCA several times and has always been a big draw for drivers and fans.

Round 3 will be at NJMP on Lightning during the Eigth Annual Lightning Challenge Regional races featuring the Northeast Divisional Racing Series (NDRS), NJRRS, NARRC and and MARRS. Look for this to be one of the most competitive events of the season with the contingent from MARRS adding to the Pro IT ranks.

Round 4 will be on the historic Watkins Glen International during the July Sprints on the short course with NDRS. This will be the first time the series runs on the short course.

Round 5 at the twisty NJMP Thunderbolt at Summer Thunder.

Round 6 will be a new venue for the series also with NRDS on the new 2.9 mile log course at Pittsburgh International Race Complex. We expect many visitors from the west to compete for Pro IT honors.

The Round 7, the 2015 finale will be at the NARRC Runoffs at Lime Rock park in picturesque northwestern Connecticut.

Expect 2015 to be the best season for the best series in road racing.

2014 - Bulletin #1

Fidelity Power Systems Pro IT Series Bulletin

To: Pro IT Competitors
From: Pro IT Staff

There have been discussions this summer regarding the direction of the Pro IT series. The Series, as with the IT category in general, has been losing its lower end participants. There have been no ITC entries this year and the ITA and ITB entries have dropped significantly. This appears to be the trend rather than a blip.

The most promising approach discussed was to open the series to another class(es) of car which are compatible with the IT philosophy and will race well with our current competition. The most promising appears to be Super Touring Light (STL). So far this year we have had a couple of STL cars compete in our ITX non-championship class. Other classes are being reviewed.

Based on this experience, it has been decided to accept STL as a provisional class for the remainder of this year. There will be event awards and an event prize fund for STL starting with Round 6 at NJMP. Unfortunately, there can be no yearend recognition due to the late start.

See ya at a Pro IT race
